• The company’s commitment is based on an access control system based on fingerprint biometrics.
  • The system is more effective and faster than facial recognition solutions and has already been tested in gaming rooms.
  • MGA will have two access control options to be adaptable to the structure and needs of each gaming room and client.

Summer is coming to its end and the sector prepare its farewell with an event that, like every year, MGA Industrial does not want to miss out.

This edition of Expo Congreso Andaluz will also become the presentation platform for the Access Control System in which MGA Industrial has been working for months in order to achieve a product that meets all legal requirements and also adapts to the needs of each operator.

The company’s commitment is based on an access control system based on fingerprint biometrics, a reliable and non-intrusive identification technology for the customer, which guarantees univocal and non-transferable access. This implies that people who are prohibited from entering gambling establishments, both for being part of the list of self-prohibited and for being minors, will not be able to access to the gaming room.

“The use of the fingerprint makes it possible to ensure that there is no exchange of identification means between different users, as could happen with other identification systems such as magnetic stripe cards, RFID cards, ID cards or others. Fingerprints are formed in intrauterine life and are different even in the case of monozygotic twins. Regarding the adaptation of the users to the use of a fingerprint reader, the identification technology based on this method is sufficiently mature and commonly used for mobile devices or gyms, which demonstrates its social implantation and its ease of use, guaranteeing the purpose for which the solution is implemented ”- exposes Artur Porta, General Director of MGA Industrial.

For this project, MGA Industrial has initially ruled out a solution for facial recognition since, although it could also be univocal and non-transferable in theory, under certain conditions its effectiveness decreases:

  • In the case of twin brothers with almost identical physiognomies.
  • In poor lighting conditions.
  • Depending on the algorithm used, the accuracy depends on the ethnic group.
  • According to the posture and gestures of the face at the time of identification.

In addition, the speed of use is slower than in the case of the fingerprint because it has a larger surface to be mapped.

“With the identification by fingerprint we ensure that the user who identifies at an access control point of the gaming establishment is who identified himself in person at the counter through his National Identity Document, NIE or passport and proceeded to register and give consent for the treatment of your data in the first access to the gaming room”- affirms Artur Porta.

The MGA Access Bio system is a flexible and complete system at the structural level that can include, according to the option chosen, the registration point integrated in the access control itself, a specific development for the gaming sector with a modern image, Elegant and extremely functional.

The MGA Access Bio solution provides a durable structure in the hardware part and software already proven in numerous identification and time control applications; both systems have also been tested in gaming rooms of the group itself prior to its launch in order to achieve proper operation applied to the conditions in which they must be implemented.

The MGA Industrial team will be available to all customers and visitors of the Expo Congreso Andaluz to offer more detailed information of its newly released access control system and also show the rest of its consolidated portfolio.
